OAKLEY | Experiential

 

The Situation: At the start of 2013 we were invited to Oakley in California to discuss how we could help take their iconic brand to the next level. To create a brand experience like no other that reflected the envelope-pushing, disruptive nature of Oakley. At the monumental Oakley headquarters in San Diego, we spoke with brand managers, watched product demonstrations, visited the legendary RED Studio for potential locations – to give us the a sense of their overall brand promise, the material and the setting we needed to build the storyline that would become The Oakley Brand Experience. One year later, this is the result. Many thanks to Moment Factory for the opportunity to work on this awe-inspiring project.

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL | Kurios Storybook

























The Situation: In early 2014 I was approached by Cirque du Soleil to work on this little gem of a project. The idea, to create a non-traditional promotional package that told the story of Kurios through the eyes of the "Searcher" – the Kurios Mad Scientist. And to tell it through his eyes as if we were reading his notebook. This was created while the development of the show was still in progress, thus I had a behind-the-scenes opportunity to actually see the show in rehearsals to give me an overall idea of the true essence of the show. This was a true creative collaboration on all levels with the Art Director and Illustrators to pull together a unique storybook "The Kurios Files" that gave audiences a hint of what was to come without giving too much away.

CADILLAC FAIRVIEW | Development Naming












The Situation: In mid 2013, I was approached by TAM TAM \ TBWA to assist them in the naming and branding process of a new development south of downtown Montreal. This was by far one of the most challenging naming projects I have worked on. It was beyond just finding any name for a development, as it would also serve as the name of the quarter. A rare opportunity where you actually get to name a part of your hometown. Our mandate was to find a name that respected the history of the area [Windsor Station] while giving it a fresh vibrant name that spoke of community, a gathering place, a place where people and business connect. Quad Windsor brought these two worlds together.
